106 JACK fm is the radio station for Stevenage, Hertford, Ware, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Hitchin and Letchworth - and surrounding areas.'We Play What We Want' from our Knebworth Park studios.In May 2010 we changed our name from 'Hertbeat FM' - mainly due to the fact that the 'Heart' brand of radio station had become a national identity and we were getting confused with them. So we changed our name to 'Jack'. Why JACK? Well, apart from it being the Number 1 boy's name in the country - Jack is a name also used by stations across the US, Canada and now the UK. But WAIT! We're still proud to be independent (we haven't "sold out") but we're also very grateful to receive assistance from our sister JACK stations in Oxford and Bristol (the other 2 stations in this country).
