KK-JA Radio is a non commercial, not for profit radio station. The station was created to satisfy a personal whim. The owner is an electronics hobbyist and amateur radio operator who successfully passed the FCC First Class Commercial Radio Operators License at age 13. At the time, this was the primary credential required to operate a commercial radio or television station (This requirement was eliminated after deregulation of the broadcast industry). Well, I never got to work in the broadcast industry, so I'm taking my shot now.
