In 1997 a group of dreamers and visionaries in the border town of Bisbee, AZ, located in the Mule Mountains of the Chihuahuan desert, formed the Bisbee Radio Project, Inc. This non-profit endeavor was dedicated to bringing radio to Bisbee. Automated KBRP went on the air on November 21, 2004. Live programming began on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2004.
