VOXLO Radio

VOXLO Radio is the first 24/7 multicultural radio station in Norway. VOXLO is the vision of the founders Yasir Bokhari, Mandeep Nandra and Ash caviar, three British media entrepreneurs who have more than 20 years of commercial radio experience. The background to this vision is a thorough and well-invested market research that identified a huge gap in the Norwegian radio market. The findings showed that there was no 24/7 radio offerings geared toward a growing population share of second and third generation immigrants, particularly for cultures that are South Asian, Arab, African or Middle Eastern in Norway. We also found that there was a huge appetite and need for our proposed broadcasting service. Digitalradio Norway agreed with our vision and identified the need to have an urban radio station that truly represents the diversity and cosmopolitan population of Oslo and Akershus. DAB + license was awarded VOXLO Radio in November 2013 and in February 2014 started the station its first test broadcasts on DAB + in Oslo and Akershus, and online and via mobile.
