Lixty helps you discover and listen to online radio. This policy explains how information is used when you visit this website. You do not need an account to listen.

Information we use

Our servers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and requested pages to deliver the website and keep it working. Local Radio can use your IP address to estimate your country and suggest stations; it does not request your device’s precise location.

If you use the contact form, we receive your message, any reply details you choose to provide, and the page you sent it from. We send this information to our feedback service to handle your request. Please avoid including sensitive information.

Browser storage and listening statistics

Your favorites and recent listening history are saved in your browser. You can remove favorites, clear recent history in your library, or clear this website’s data in your browser settings.

When listening statistics are enabled, we use a random listener cookie to help prevent repeat plays from inflating station rankings. It lasts up to 180 days. Short-lived records used to avoid duplicate counts are scheduled for deletion after three days; station popularity totals remain.

When analytics is enabled, we use Umami to understand page visits, successful plays, listening milestones, playback errors and return visits. These events can include the station, page and language. A date saved in your browser helps identify return visits. Clearing or blocking browser storage may affect saved features and statistics.

External services

Radio streams, station artwork and linked websites may be delivered by third parties. When your browser connects to them, they receive connection information such as your IP address and may process it under their own privacy policies. Lixty does not control those services.

Providers that host the website, handle feedback or provide analytics process the information needed for those functions. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.

Retention and your choices

Browser data stays on your device until you or your browser removes or replaces it, except for cookies with an expiry date. We keep support messages and operational information only as long as needed to handle requests, maintain security and meet legal obligations.
