Radio ArtsIndonesia, an internet radio service from Yayasan Payung Seni Budaya Indonesia (Umbrella for the Arts and Culture in Indonesia Foundation), began in September 2008 with the primary objective of exposing Indonesian composers, conductors and performers and their music to a world-wide audience. In addition the radio service airs compositions by contemporary classical composers both from Indonesia and the world. It broadcasts serious (classical) music 24/7 including at least three hours a day of Indonesian related serious music. It has it own website, www.radio.artsindonesia.com, which provided daily listings of music to be performed as well as music listing performances of Indonesian composers, music groups and soloists. Two weekly, Newsletter on the Arts and Newsletter on Contemporary Music are available from the station.
