Description
AWN Radio is the first exclusive English online radio station in Sri Lanka. Launched in April 2010, the station has been growing ever since. It is dedicated to playing music genres such as Rock, Jazz, Blues, Fusion, and Reggae.
The primary reason is due to the limited media attention shown over the years; unfortunately, for reasons yet unknown, these genres have become, to popular belief, a taboo of sorts in Sri Lanka. It’s time for a change in mind-set and a time to explore other unique music genres. Music is born out of creativity, and we would like to expand the reach of this super-genre to this musically evolved, niche market. It’s time we moved forward with the rest of the world.
